Welcome to the English page of NCP Certification
Quick to

Since 1994 NCP (National Centre for Prevention) has published the actual list of approved products for use under the different rules in Holland fore fire- and burglary detection. In July 2005 the National Centre for Prevention was taken over by a big, insurers owned, loss adjustment company (CED Holding) with the intention to upgrade the activities as the major certification institute for fire saftey and burglary security systems. Of course the publication of the list to be used by the approved installers in Holland will stay important.

For this reason we have renewed the NCP website but more important, the publication of approved fire and security products will be completely automated. This means that directly after the approval of any product, it will be visible on the web. We have made a direct connection between back office and the website publications. All these changes have resulted in a better process that needs less handling. Resulting in a lower price level as you can see here. Our tariffs have been decreased with appr. 30 %.

As a token of our good intentions, we have decided that all products, already listed in the NCP Registration will remain listed until January 2007 without any additional fees. The majority of the NCP listed products did not receive their annual declaration.
From January 1st 2007 we will start with billing you for the next years fee, based on our new tariffs.

As the major certification institute in Holland (more than 75 % market share), it is very important for our customers, the installer of safety and security installations, to have direct access to a central and actual database of approved safety and security products.

A new item on the website will be the NCP KEUR. This is an approval, granted by the NCP, for products that can fulfil certain requirements in the field of fire and safety protection en prevention. There are products on the market for which there are (not yet) no European standards or Technical Specifications. Together with NCP Certification and a accredited test house, the manufacturer / supplier may draw up a test scheme, based on existing standards or specification from the manufacturer. In some cases there requirements can be completed with requirements from the NCP. Based on the positive test results, NCP might issue a product certificate and the product will be published under NCP-KEUR.

Products will be judged by NCP on three points:

Next to this, there are two additional requirements to get listed as NCP-Keur:
